Situated in America’s heartland, the entire state of Tennessee has emerged as a major focal point thanks to its ease of access to worldwide markets, major transportation hubs, a skilled workforce and the busiest cargo airport in North America. In addition to 2,600+ miles of operating freight trackage, the majority of which is owned by CSX, Norfolk Southern Railway and BNSF, and five inland ports, the state features 1,200+ miles of the Interstate Highway System. These include I-40, known as Tennessee’s “Main Street” and its longest freeway; I-24, one of the state’s most-traveled east-west routes; and I-65, which travels north to south and passes through the Greater Nashville Metro.
